Nose Reshaping (Rhinoplasty)
Shape deformities of the cartilaginous or bone parts of the nose can be fixed by operation. The extent of the intervention stems from the scope of deformity.
As a rule the operation is conducted under general anesthesia and lasts 50-80 minutes. The fixing is based on reduction and reshaping of the cartilages and on reduction of the bone pyramid of the nose. The operation also includes removal of the bone burp if there is any.
The necessary period of hospitalization is 24 hours, while the time of surgical convalescence is 10-14 days. The result of the surgery is reducing the size of the nose and changing its shape and often also improvement of the patecy of the nostrils worsened prior to the operation.
